Merry Christmas everyone,
I can't believe it's already the week of Christmas. The time has flown by and has gone by way too fast. It's going to be a little weird this Christmas because transfers are this Wednesday and I found out that I'm getting transferred to New Roads. It's a town about 20 miles out of Baton Rouge. So it will be a little weird because I won't really know anyone there or the people who's house I'll go over to Christmas for. So mom I'm not sure what time I'll be calling because we are supposed to call from a members house. Most likely it will be at night around like 5 or 6 but I'm not for sure on that. What I'll try to do is have the member I'm going over to call you like the day before and tell you around what time I'll be calling. So I'm a little sad that I'm leaving New Orleans but I know that the Lord knows where I need to be and I'm going to Love it in New Roads hopefully just as much as New Orleans. I was hoping though to stay to see Raymond and Traci get baptized and this last week we've found some really cool people that we committed to be baptized for January and they're really excited about it. I heard that the ward I'm going to be in is one of the best in the mission so I'm pretty excited about that. Also President Woods told me that New Roads is one of the nicest and prettiest places he's been to in Louisiana.
I did get your package today mom so no worries and I'll be taking it with me to my new area. I'm not looking forward to packing at all tonight but whatever. And then I have to wake up at 4:30 to get to the stake center for transfers. I can't remember the name of my new companion but I've heard he's pretty cool. Hopefully we get along alright and he'll definitely be a better driver then Elder Lamb so that will be a relief. Oh yeah and I don't remember if I said anything last week about being in a tri-companionship. So this last week we had Elder Butikofer come be companions with Elder lamb and I because Elder Butikofer's comp. left for home a week early because they didn't want any missionaries flying during the week of Christmas. So this last week was interesting because we were in one area for half of the week and in the other area for half of the week. It was wierd teaching with three people and a little difficult. It was fun though and there were some good things that happened. Elder Butikofer is pretty cool too and we got along pretty good.
Well it was pretty crazy to hear about the Suns big trade and that they got Vince Carter. It's a little surprising since he's getting pretty old. Hopefully he can still do pretty good though. I hope to hear more interesting things from back home and how everyone is doing. I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and to remember the true meaning of Christmas. I love you all.
Love,
Elder Cooper
