Hey Everyone,
I know, I need to come up with something new to start my letters! Anyways, This week was awesome! Sky and Adrian were both baptized this week! Sky's baptism was on Thursday and Adrian's was on Saturday. This whole week was crazy trying to plan for both of them. Sky's was supposed to be on Saturday too, but our ward got an assignment from Salt Lake to go up for the Alabama/Mississippi Tornado relief. So no one was going to be there for the baptisms, which was a bummer, but we were still going to go through with them. Then Sky called us on Tuesday and told us that she was going to go up with the ward and help with the tornado relief, so she wasn't going to get baptized on Saturday. We met with her that night and asked if she would want to be baptized on Thursday. She said she would and we planned out her whole baptism that night. Then on Wednesday we got a call from Bishop telling us that the relief effort had been postponed for the following weekend. So we could've had Sky's baptism still on saturday. We asked her what she wanted to do and decided to keep it on Thursday. After all the craziness we had a great baptismal service for Sky. There were only about 8 other people there besides us missionaries, because Sky is super shy and didn't want anyone there. I was able to baptized her and it was awesome to be able to finally see someone follow through with there committment and follow Jesus Christ. It was a strong spiritual experience and it makes you want baptism so much more for all of your investigators. Adrian on the other hand, had an awesome turn out for his baptism. There was about 35 to 40 people there for it. It was a really strong spiritual experience for Adrian, and he is so excited to share his joy with his family. The rest of the week was kind of slow, but Mother's Day was definetly good. Especially since I got to talk to my family. It was kind of weird talking to them and then just saying, well I'll talk to you at Christmas. It just seems like it was yesterday that it was Christmas. I can't believe how fast the time has gone! I love it out here and can't wait to help more of my brothers and sisters enter the waters of baptism. I love you all and hope you have a great week.
Love,
Elder Cooper
