Hey everyone,

Hope you all had a great week.  Congrats to everyone who graduated! This last week was pretty good.  Other than me dying everyday on my bike it's been good.  I can't believe how hot it is and I'll probably keep saying that every week until about October.  So it's officially Hurricane Season.  We got new beds this last week because President Woods wanted us to have beds that we could easily move if we have to evacuate for a hurricane.  The Office Elders told us that President Woods is stressing right now about preparing for a hurricane.  I guess the mission president before President Woods had  hurricane Katrina happen the first month he was mission president. President Woods had Hurricane Gustav hit when he was only in his first month of being Mission President too.  So I guess he thinks the same thing is going to happen to President Wall.  Hopefully that doesn't happen!  We'll see if the streak continues.
This last week we had a tornado touch down in Bush, which is about 10-15 miles north of here in Mandeville.  We had a pretty crazy thunderstorm here but luckily no tornados.  Bush was hit pretty good though and there was quite a bit of damage.  It was pretty crazy to have a tornado that close and our ward went up and helped out with cleanup.  Hopefully we will be able to go and help some time this week.
Other than that not too much happened this week.  We found a good number of new people to teach.  We're now just trying to get people progressing.  I still love it here even though it's so stinkin hot!  I hope you all have a great week.

Love,
Elder Cooper
