Good Week, March 12, 2012

Hey Everyone,

I hope you all had a great week. Not too much happened here in Good Ol New Orleans.  We were able to work with some less actives, but other then that not too much happened.  We had quite a few appointments fall through again this week, but that happens.  We'll hopefully find those who are searching for the gospel and be able to weed them out from the people who aren't really interested.  The weather here has still been ridiculous.  It's 85 one day and then 55 the next.  It's made my allergies go crazy.  Anyways, we were able to work with Sister Lewis this week.  She's a less active that I was working with when I was here before.  She hasn't been active really since Katrina.  She actually was the Primary President before the storm.  I guess after it was just too hard for her to come back regularly because all of her friends had moved away and she doesn't really know anyone too well except the Grants.  Her husband is zero support too.  We actually did get to meet him on Saturday, which is pretty rare because none of the other missionaries that I've talked to have met him before.  She's also opened up a lot since we first went to see her.  So now we just need to get her to come to church, but I feel that she will in the next couple of weeks.  And she actually committed to come to the church for General Conference so that will be good. We've also been working with the Givens who were active before but for the last few months have only been a couple times to church.  They did make it church this week though which was really good and exciting.  Not too much else happened this week.  We'll just keep doing what's been asked of us and the Lord will provide and help us.  I love this work and I love being here in this great place.  I hope you all have a great week.

Love,

Elder Cooper
