Hi everyone,
This last week was awesome. It was a hard week, but very rewarding. This week my companion and I would be knocking doors for 2 or 3 hours and not really getting anything. It was discouraging and it always felt like a waste of time. Then the last house we would knock we got someone who was interested in the gospel and got return appointments with them. That happened 3 time this last week. They were truly miracles from the Lord. It helped my faith grow, too. Like it says in the scriptures, after the trial of our faith we will be blessed. My faith was tried this week, definitely, but my companion and I kept working hard and were blessed for it.
One other thing that was awesome about this week was we had three investigators come to church this last Sunday. One of the investigators that came we had just met earlier that week on like Tuesday. His name is Raymond and when we knocked on his door he let us in and we talked about prayer and fasting. We committed him to come to church, and to our surprise he said he was for sure going to come. So on Sunday he and his wife came and they really enjoyed it. Raymond said that he almost got up to bare his testimony but got too scared. He also said that he was for sure going to come to church again next week! We also had the Nealy family come. Elson is an investigator and his wife Angeliq is actually a convert to the church but hadn't been to church in 5 years. So it was great to see them come and they really enjoyed it too.
It was awesome to hear that Aaron got his call. One of my MTC teachers went to the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania mission and she loved it. It sounds awesome and I know that he'll do great serving the people there. Congrats to Spencer on getting a gig. And I hope that everyone has a great October Break. I love you all.
