Hey Everyone,

Hope you all had a great week.  This last week was pretty good.  We didn't have the greatest numbers this week but, it was still productive.  My comp. and I did a media board on Saturday out at the lake front.  The lake front is an awesome park right on the front of lake Pontchartrain and always has a lot of people there.  We set up a media board there and had a movie playing called Truth Restored, which has people bearing their testimony of how the restored gospel has blessed their lives.  For the first hour we didn't have a single person come up to us.  So we took a different approach and handed out free water with pass along cards attached to them with our information on them.  That tactic worked a lot better and we handed out about 30 water bottles. It wasn't what we were hoping to happen, but hopefully some of those people will call and want to know more.
I didn't know last week that I'd never talked about Sky before, so sorry about the confusion.  Sky is 19 and extremely shy. Sky and her cousins showed up to church about a month and a half ago.  They had talked to missionaries in the past and the missionaries had invited them to church many times but they never went.  This one particular Sunday they wanted to go to church somewhere but didn't know where to go.  They decided to try the Mormon church because they had never been there.  They really enjoyed it and said we could come over and teach them.  So Sky now knows that the gospel is true and set her own baptismal date for May 7th.  Her cousins, Amy and Brenda,  we taught for a while, but they ended up being dropped because they weren't keeping commitments and they said they weren't ready yet to change.
It's been hard not having people follow through with their committment to be baptized.  But, over the last couple of days I've been pondering on that.  I know that even if I never have a baptism here on the mission, It is still the best thing I could be doing right now at this time in my life.  I've learned so much in these last 7 and a half months and have grown so much.  I've definitely become a better person.  I know that this gospel is true. That this is Christ's church once again established on the earth.  The gospel just makes so much sense, it makes me always think how can people not know that it is true.  I love my savior Jesus Christ and know that he suffered and died for us because he loves each of us so much.  I know that what I'm out here teaching is true and I wouldn't trade this experience for anything.  I hope that you all have a great week and a blessed Easter Sunday. I love you all.

Love,
Elder Cooper
