Hey everyone,
Hope everyone had a great week and enjoyed conference because I know I did! I love conference! It's the best. I don't really know why on a mission it's so great. I thought that all the talks were good and were inspired. There were a lot of talks that were exactly what some of my investigators needed to hear and what they had questions on. None of our investigators came to the church, but quite a few watched it at home. They said they really enjoyed it and helped them out a lot.
This last week we had a great lesson with a family. Jennifer, the mom, we had talked to about 2 weeks ago and she had told us to come back. The night we went over her whole family was over. We taught them about the restoration and it went really well. The dad, Ronnie, was really touched when I shared the first vision. His whole demeanor changed and I knew that the spirit was testifying to him that what we were saying was true. They invited us to come back this Friday for a crawfish boil! We're excited for them and to teach them more.
This week we have two people that are committed to be baptized on Saturday. Adrian is definetly ready for baptism. He called us on Saturday though with some really unfortunate news. His father had a stroke and was in the hospital. One of his main arteries is 80% blocked and the doctors say that he will probably live for only 2 more months. They would usually perform surgery but they said that he most likely would not survive the surgery. Adrian is pretty upset, as he should be, but we're hopeful that he will still be baptized on Saturday. And hopefully his dad will be able to see him be baptized.
Well I hope you all have a great week!
Love,
Elder Cooper
