Hey Everyone,
Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter Sunday! I found out last night that I'm staying here in Mandeville for another transfer and I still have Elder Ruzicka as my companion. I'm pretty surprised that we both are staying here for another transfer. I had already kind of gotten in my mind that I was going to be leaving. I'm excited because I will be able to see Sky and Mike baptized. Hopefully Adrian too! He told us that he wants to wait for his wife and kids to move down until he gets baptized. I guess his wife told him she wants to be there for it, which is good. Hopefully we can get them to come down earlier and have Adrian get baptized on a sooner date, because right now they are thinking of coming down in July. Adrian is definitely ready for baptism, we just need him to recognize the importance of receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost and how it will bless his life so much. We also have some new people that we are starting to teach that we are pretty excited about! We helped this black guy, Marlin, and his girlfriend move into their apartment about 3 weeks ago. Marlin has talked to missionaries in the past and was going to get baptized about two years ago but he was told that he would have to wait to get baptized when he was interviewed. That turned him off from getting baptized and he kind of fell away. He knows that this gospel is true, or at one point he did. We're excited to help him regain his testimony and work with him on coming back to church. We're pretty hopeful that he will be baptized in the next couple of months.
For Easter Sunday we were invited to a Crawfish Boil! Some lady we tracted into on Tuesday invited us right in because she knows a lot about our church. We had a good lesson with her and then she told us to come by on Sunday because they were going to be having a huge crawfish boil. It was so good! And there were so many people there. We were able to talk to quite a few people about the gospel. The crawfish was Awesome too of course! I think I had a couple of bad one's though becuase I got pretty sick that night. It was totally worth it though. Not too much more happened this last week. We're just working with the 3 with baptismal dates and then we have a lot of potential investigators that we are working with and hoping to turn them into progressing. The work is great. It's been disgustingly hot the last week, too! I can't wait for Summer! haha. Hope you all have a great week and hope you have a Great Birthday Spencer! Happy Birthday!!!!!!
