Hey everyone,
So I'm back in Ne w Orleans East, my first area! I couldn't believe it when President called out my name at transfers to be re-opening New Orleans East. I'm way stoked and still can't believe I'm back. My new companion is Elder Gauthier. He's from Tahiti and speaks French. Of course he speaks English too. He is a really good missionary and is willing to work. Unfortunately we are on bikes, but it's not too bad. It's a pretty small area so compared to other areas it's not bad at all. On Saturday though it poured rain forever. We were out riding our bikes and it just started down pouring, we hurried and biked to a Taco Bell and stayed in their for a couple of hours until it died down. It was a crazy storm. Well it died down so we decided to head back to the apartment and of course about a minute in it started raining hard again. We got completely soaked and it was pretty miserable. Other then that it wasn't too bad. Not too much happened this week we're pretty much starting from scratch because the area has been closed for about 4 transfers.
Church was really interesting yesterday. It's Mardi Gras on Tuesday but they have parades going all the time a week prior to the actual day in New Orleans. So on Sunday we had sacrament meeting only because the parades were going to start at 11. But, the parades on Saturday got rained out and so they had them on Sunday instead. So the first parade started at nine and church starts at 10. We could here the music and crazy people the whole time. It was interesting hearing Michael Jackson while trying to take the sacrament. It was still a really good sacrament meeting though. Anyways I hope you all have an awesome week.
