Hi everyone,
Hope everything is going well for everyone at home. It sounds like it's getting nice and cool there now. I'm jealous because it's still pretty warm here for November. This last week was pretty rough. It was pretty crazy and everything seemed to just not work out. My companion and I worked hard all week and had a lot of appointments set up but didn't have much success at all. We had about 25 set appointments this week and all of them fell through except for only like 3 or 4. All of our backup people too, were either busy or didn't answer. It was pretty tough and pretty discouraging to have all of your appointments fall through everyday. Also, Tracy Coats hadn't come out for the last two lessons we had at their house. Raymond told us that her family was giving her a hard time about going to church and that she is worried that her family won't accept her if she joins the church or even keeps coming to our church. So she hasn't even come out and said hi the last three times we've been over there. It's pretty sad that happened and that she won't even come out when we're there anymore. Hopefully Raymond's example will help her to open back up and to come to church again.
Even though this week was hard and discouraging I know I just have to keep going and keep putting my faith in the Lord. We did find some really cool people and some people that were pretty interested in the gospel so that was good. I know that the lord will bless me as long as I keep being obedient and do his will. All I know is that this week can't get worse and that with help with the lord many miracles can happen.
The ward I'm in had a turkey bowl on Saturday. It was a lot of fun and it was a good activity because we had a few investigators there.
Hope everything is going well at home for everyone and have a Happy Thanksgiving!
Love,
Elder Cooper
