Hi everyone,

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.  I had a pretty good one here in New Orleans.  This last week was ok, Thanksgiving definitely made it better since it's pretty much my favorite holiday.  There wasn't too much that happened this week.  We weren't able to have many lessons with our progressing investigators this last week and we weren't able to have any members come out with us.  We did meet this guy named Rodney.  He's an older guy who has everything going wrong physically for him.  He has to go get surgery on his back and his knee, and he also has vertigo.  He was pretty interested in the message of the gospel and he was asking all the right questions. He kept saying that he's been confused about which church is right and he really liked the message about the first vision.  We weren't able to see him again this week because he went out of town, but hopefully we'll be able to see him soon.
For Thanksgiving my companion and I went around handing out pamphlets on the family proclamation to people and asking them what they were thankful for and that we were thankful for our families, so that's why we were handing out the pamphlets.  Most people liked it a lot, and we were able to get a few return appointments from it.  For Thanksgiving dinner we went over to a recent convert's, Roland Alexcee, house.  He had a bunch of family over and the food was really good. We were also invited to the ward mission leader's house for dinner but it's kind of far from our appartment and we were pretty much out of miles.  All in all it was a good thanksgiving.
This Sunday was the fourth Sunday in a row that we didn't have any investigators at church.  It almost makes church not seem as important when we don't have any investigators show up.  We had about 4 different people commited to come but none of them showed up.  Hopefully this next week we'll have someone there.
It's too bad about the Cardinals.  Hopefully they'll be able to get it together and maybe make a run for the playoffs.  It still amazes me how everyone here is a Saints fan.  They're all crazy about the Saints and everyone watches them down here in New Orleans.  We'll be walking down the street and you can always tell when the Saints score because you'll hear sceaming and yelling coming from people's houses, It's pretty funny.
Well this last week was an improvement from the week before.  I have a feeling that this week is going to be a great one and that many great things are going to happen.  Hopefully Raymond Coats will be able to gain a testimony of the Book of Mormon and be baptized on December 11.
I hope everyone has a great week.

Love,
Elder Cooper
