Hey Everyone,
Hope you all had a great week. This last week was interesting. My companion Elder Waters was sick for two days and on Tuesday it was his birthday. We ate so much food that day, I probably gained about 15 pounds! I felt so sick that night from eating so much and I think that's why Elder Waters got sick. Anyways, then on Saturday it seemed like nothing was going right at the beginning of the day. One of our investigators invited us to go out to dinner with him, but we told him we were busy that night. I guess he took offense to that somehow and he told us to never call or talk to him again! It came out of nowhere and my comp and I are still confused as to what happened. But later that night we had one of the best lessons I've had so far on my mission with Randy and Bridgette Oubre. The spirit was really strong and they understood everything we taught them. Then on the way back to our appartment Katie Gebhart texted us and asked if we wanted a ride to church with them! We have been trying to get the Gebharts to church forever and then randomly she just texted and said that they were going to go this Sunday. It was awesome! I've already seen it so much on my mission that when everything is going wrong, if you keep pressing forward then that's when the blessings start happening. I guess my faith needs to be tried or something because it seems like that's always how it is. Sunday was interesting at church, though. It was fast and testimony meeting and some of the things some of the members said were pretty interesting. It kind of freaked out John and Kate. So they didn't have the best exprience, which was too bad. But it's something we're just going to have to help them with and it does sound like they'll come back to church though.
