Hey everyone,
This last week has been mass craziness! So I'm not in Algiers anymore. Elder Godfrey got his Visa on Tuesday! President Wall called us on Tuesday night at 9:00 to tell us. He told me that I would be going to Opelousas to serve with Elder Fife and I'd be leaving tomorrow at 9:00 in the morning! So I had to pack that night and early in the morning. I was pretty bummed that I was leaving to a different area because we were having a lot of good stuff happening and a lot of success. Oh well, the reason I went with Elder Fife is because his Visa waiter left too, so they decided to give my area to the Zone Leaders to cover. Opelousas is a smaller town, not as small as New Roads though,. It is pretty cool though. They have some good stuff going on here too. So I'm not sure if I'll go down to Algiers though after the transfer or stay here in Opelousas.
We had a good week here in Opelousas though. There are a couple of investigators that are getting ready for baptism which is always exciting. Elder Fife is pretty cool. He's been out about the same time as me and we teach pretty well together which is pretty good. We do have a car here in Opelousas which is pretty nice, because Algiers is a bike area too. It's been ridiculously humid every day and it's rained everyday this week too. So that's pretty much everyday for the last two and a half weeks! What makes it worse is that it will rain for only part of the day and then the sun will come back out. When it rains it makes it twice as humid, so when the sun comes back out it's horrible. Anyways enough of my complaining. I can't believe I'm turning 20 in two days! It's crazy I feel old now. 20 seemed so far away when I was growing up but here it is and it's come up quick.
I gave a talk in church yesterday. The first Sunday I'm there and they call me on Saturday to give a talk the next day. It was on tithing and I did pretty well. I still don't like getting up in front of a lot of people and talking, but I did a lot better this time I think and I wasn't as nervous.
Well I know this church is true. I love being out here and serving the people here in Louisiana. I know that the lord is always preparing people who we know or who we come in contact with. We need to do our part and talk to them and let them know about the the message of the restoration and how it can bring happiness into their life. I love you all and hope you have a great week!
