Hey Everyone,
Hope you all had a great week. We had a pretty good one here in Opelousas. It was still ridiculously hot and I'm definitely ready for it to be winter. Anyways, we had a lot of appointments fall through this week. Actually, probably the most I've had in one week fall through. We still had some really good lessons. We were able to teach Miranda the Plan of Salvation and she accepted it pretty well and had really good questions. She's doing well and is striving to come closer to God each day. Hopefully she will be ready for her baptismal date of the 27th. So definitely be praying for her. Unfortunately we didn't have anyone at church on Sunday. But, we'll try harder this week to get them there.
So the two new investigators we got this last week are both crazy! One of them, James, he's cool but he'll randomly start yelling and preaching to us when he so called is filled with the spirit. He gets offended too by the littlest things, but I think thats because he was drunk the first time we talked to him. He was more normal the second time we met, and he actually already had a Book of Mormon and was reading from it! So he does have some good potential, we'll just need to teach him the WOW soon. haha. The other guy, Steven, we talked to him yesterday and he has some crazy beliefs. For instance he believes that we used to live in another Galaxie before this one and that we came here by spaceship. And everyone who's on this earth didn't do what they were supposed to in the previous galaxie. I don't know it was weird and he had a lot of other crazy beliefs that I don't want to mention. But, he was receptive to the message of the restoration and he took a BOM and said he would read it. So we'll see if they go anywhere.
