Crazy week, Sept. 19, 2011

Hey Everyone,

So I had a pretty crazy week this last week.  Elder Fife got transferred to Luling and Elder Taylor came up here to Opelousas.  He's pretty cool.  He's from Utah and has been out for 10 months on his mission.  We dropped quite a few investigators and we're staying away from the ghetto and just working the nice areas.  So this last week was a little rough because we didn't have as many people to teach.  But, we're finding more solid investigators and we're trying to work with more less actives to help this branch become a ward.
We found a cool lady that lives right by the church.  She had been taught about four years ago in Baker, Louisiana and she went through the Baton Rouge temple open house back in 2000.  We had a really good lesson with her.  The spirit was really strong and she said that she will definitely be baptized when she finds out for herself that it is true.  We're going to hopefully be teaching her whole family, too.  She said that her husband keeps a Book of Mormon in his truck.  So they are definitely prepared to be taught and we're way excited to teach them.  Not too much else happened.  It rained all last day and the weather has cooled down, so it's really nice right now.  Hope you all have a great week!

Love,
Elder Cooper
