Hey Everyone,
So I went through my first tropical storm. It was pretty anticlimactic. It rained a lot, and the wind was blowing pretty hard but it wasn't anything like people were making it out to be. We did have to stay in our apartment Saturday night, but other than that we were able to go out. These last couple of weeks have been frustrating. All of our investigators aren't keeping appointments and commitments. We haven't met with Miranda, Ryan, or Sierra in the last week and a half. We're trying to start working in other towns in our area than Opelousas.
Luckily with the storm it's made the weather a lot cooler which has been awesome! It's supposed to stay in the 80's for the rest of the week. One of our investigators, Calvin, will be getting baptized on September 24th, though, so that is exciting. He's been being taught for about 2 years now, so I haven't really taught him too much myself, but it is good to see him making this commitment in his life. Well not too much else has been happening, hope you all have a great week and I hope it starts cooling down in Arizona for ya.
