Hey Everyone,
Hope you all had a great week. I had a pretty good week here. We found a couple of new investigators that we're pretty excited about. Nick is a cop and he is a little rough. But, he seemed pretty interested in the message and he said he would read and pray to know it was true. The other one Jessie is awesome! He's a detective for the sheriff's department. He has a great family, even though his wife doesn't want to talk to us. It was funny because he thought we were Jehovah's witnesses, and he wanted to argue with us about how they don't let people in the police or in the military be part of their religion. Anyways he has awesome questions and we taught him about the restoration. He says he really wants to come to church and find out that the message and the Book of Mormon are true. He is a little skeptical about Joseph Smith and the plates, but we can work with that.
President and Sister Wall came to the Opelousas Branch and spoke yesterday. President Wall is thinking about putting sister missionaries here in Opelousas too. I think it will be good for Opelousas. Unfortunately, we didn't have anyone come to church this last Sunday. We had four people solidly committed to come, but none of them showed up, of course. Hopefully, next week we can get people there. The work is going pretty good here, we're having a problem of investigators not keeping appointments and commitments, which is a little frustrating, but what can you do. We're hoping this next week to find some more solid investigators that will keep commitments and appointments. Well I can't think of what else to say. Hope you all have a great week.
